Em todos os cursos, exceto no INGLÊS INSTRUMENTAL, enfatizamos a entonação e principalmente a FONÉTICA uma vez que pequenas modificações na pronúncia pode até leva-los a situações embaraçosas e constrangedoras, pois estarão quase sempre falando de algo totalmente diferente e infelizmente em algumas situações caindo até na pornografia sem sequer saberem.
Como por exemplo, ao pedirem uma "Coca-Cola" poderão na realidade estar pedindo o “O órgão sexual masculino na sua maneira mais vulgar”- pois a diferença fonética é pequena – ou - pedirem por “Cocô” para a cama ao invés de um "lençol" – ou – uma "Mula” ao invés de uma “Refeição”, e assim por diante.
No EBC – English By Carlão o aluno aprende literalmente a diferença entre “ Tratado de Tordesilhas” e “Tarado atrás das ilhas”.
Em todos os nossos cursos, exceto no INGLÊS INSTRUMENTAL e no TRAVELER’S COURSE abordamos três TÓPICOS.
01 – Como aprendemos a falar um idioma do ponto de vista fisiológico e psicológico.
02 – Alguns sons Fonéticos mais complexos e difíceis da língua inglesa comparando com o idioma brasileiro para evitarmos transferências de vícios de linguagem.
03 – A aula de inglês propriamente dita abordada como um segundo idioma sem traduções, como qualquer criança aprende sua língua natal em qualquer parte do nosso planeta, utilizando ilustrações, mímicas e material áudio visual,etc.. Mas nunca tradução.
E o nosso compromisso é sempre com qualidade de lições e não quantidade de lições e esta quantidade varia de turma para turma e de pessoa para pessoa, dependendo da capacidade de aprendizado de cada.
Em cada lição sempre introduzimos vocabulário extra, pois não nos atemos somente ao conteúdo da lição dando ao aluno a oportunidade de explorar ao máximo o conteúdo extra e o da lição em "Real Life Situations."
E a partir da Lição 20, quando os alunos já têm vocabulário suficiente para uma compreensão melhor nós introduzimos como parte do material didático, letras de música tais como: Yesterday (The Beatles), As time goes by ( Natalie Cole), Love By Grace (Lara Fabian), dentre outras (com base no potencial de cada grupo ou indivíduo), quando eles têm mais uma vez a oportunidade de trabalhar o Understanding e Comprehension, repetindo, cantando e compreendendo o que o cantor quer dizer em cada estrutura, diretamente em inglês sem utilizarmos em momento algum recursos como tarnsliteração ou tradução.

In all courses, except The INSTRUMENTAL ENGLISH, we always give emphasis on intonation and phonetics as small changes in pronunciation leads to awkward and embarrassing situations. One will almost always talk about something totally different and unfortunately in some cases falling even to pornography, without even knowing.
For example, when asking for a "Coke " one may in fact be asking for " The male sexual organ in its most vulgar way " - because the phonetic difference is small - (due to the phonetic sounds of the Brazilian Portuguese, at least) - or - ask for " Poop " for the bed rather than a " sheet " - or - " a mule " instead of a " meal" , etc. So, at EBC - English By Carlão, the students literally learn the difference between "Tratado de Tordesilhas" and "Tarado atrás das ilhas" .
In all of our courses, except for the "TRAVELER 'S and INSTRUMENTAL ENGLISH ONES, three topics are approached.
1st - How we learn to speak a language, physiologically and psychologically.
2nd - Some more complex and difficult phonetic sounds of the English language, compared to the Brazilian language to avoid transference of language vices.
3rd - The English class itself taught as a second language without translations , just like any child learns his native language in any part of our planet , by using images, audio visual equipment, internet and mimes , etc. .. But never translations or transliterations. And our commitment is always to quality of lessons rather than amount of lessons and this amount varies from group to group or person to person , depending on their learning abilities.
In each class we always introduce extra vocabulary because we do not stick only to the contents of the lesson, giving therefore, the students the opportunity to explore the extra vocabulary and the contents of each lesson in " Real Life Situations."
And from Lesson 20 on, when the students have already learned enough for a better understanding we bring in as part of the teaching material, some songs and their lyrics, such as: Yesterday (The Beatles), As time goes by (Natalie Cole), Love By Grace (Lara Fabian), among others (based on the potential of each group or individual), when they have once again the opportunity to work the understanding and Comprehension, repeating, singing and understanding in English what the singer meant in each structure without using any transliteration or translation.
